Cooperative Subsistence Does Not Equal Collective Liberation
Collective management of the means of survival - food, water, land, - are not the only thing that amount to collective liberation. So often, we’re just talking about resources, when subsistence is just one part of being alive. It’s really just instrumental. It’s the meaning that we put into our existence and our experiences of existing that make life intrinsically valuable. While it’s extremely important to have a cooperative and successful means of subsisting, it’s definitely not the only thing. And our ideas of collective liberation - or of social transformation - can’t just be about subsistence alone.
