Nonsense is the Solutions

Nonsense is the solution. To what? To everything, fucker. I love logic, but not when it’s applied to pointless shit—or wait! Only when it’s applied to pointless shit. Let me explain.

You’ll need patience for this one. But trust me, I’ll appreciate you extra if you try it out!

The only thing of value is the stuff that doesn’t have a point. What is a point? Let’s get back to the point of this article: nonsense is the solution. Solution to what? Climate change, global oppression, everything. Yeah, nonsense.

Some things make sense, some things don’t. Some things don’t make sense just because you’re a dumb ass human and things are simply complex. Too hard for you to understand. Don’t worry, I’m a dumb ass human too; it’s part of being our species, Dumbo Sapiens: the Latin phrase for wise dumbass. We who think we know everything.

Anywho—some things don’t make sense just because, (1) we can’t make sense of it. Other things don’t make sense because, (2) they’re wrong. I’m not talking about either of those. Make sense? It should! Wwe should!

I love making sense. It’s the best—second only to nonsense. Which is play. Okay, now we’re getting somewhwere. If you can’t ttell with the extra w’s and t's, I’m drunk, ,and that’s how I like it! Okay, now let’s get back to nonsense—as if we weren’t there already, HA! No but let’s get back on topic.

Nonsense! I already described two kinds of nonsense: (1) complexity that we can’t handle, (2) wrongness. Let’s talk about the third kind of nonsense: (3) play! Play is for no purpose but itself. Play is intrinsic value. Play is done only for its own good. Play comes with the Dumbo Sapiens package, right out of the womb. Play is what’s taken away for some other purpose. What purpose? Some bullshit endogenous-preference capitalist hyperloop of stupidity (See Herbert Gintis if you like radical economics. See Herbert Gintis if you don’t).

And that’s what doesn’t make sense, what’s wrong. Play is taken away systematically. Play is taken away in industrialized education, play is taken away in capitalism, play is taken away in adultification. Play is taken away. I’m kind of mad at this… actually really mad at this. Fuck.

Just to ground this for a second: nonsense is the solution. To everything.

Nonsense is the loss of the ego, letting go of thinking that YOU make sense. No you don’t.

No. You. Don’t.

Did you know that “Don’t” is a contraction for “donut”?

Nonsense is also letting go, playfully. Fun...ly. Following your emotions. So I’m ending this article here to dance and sing.

Wait, there’s more to say. Letting kids be kids—or not letting kids be kids is what determines our global social power structures. Yeah, I said it. Where does oppression come from, emotionally? A heightened ego as a defense mechanism from childhood trauma.

What is the mind of an oppressor? Someone who wants to be better than others, who wants to dominate others. Someone who’s scared, scared to their core. Childhood trauma. Letting kids be themselves is the fucking solution. Oppressors are built, not born. Never make a child feel like they’re not loved how they are. But that’s what we systematically do.

That’s what we systematically do.

We tell all children—creative, curious, and playful—that they’re not worthy. We—I mean you grown-ups—Test kids, tell them to be quiet, shut them up, make them conform to your nonsense. The kind that’s wrong. Type 2 nonsense. That’s the worst kind of nonsense, and I have a problem with that. You’re shutting up their Type 3 nonsense (play) with your Type 2 nonsense (the kind that’s wrong). And that creates oppressors. Industrial education is an oppressor-making machine. Don’t make oppressors, and you don’t make oppression (the clusterfuck of capitalism, colonialism, climate change and all the “ism”s). We make oppression, grown-ups make oppression.

Don’t fucking do it.

Let kids be kids. De-adultify yourself. De-school, Free-school. For a free world and a free future.

Problem solved.

Okay, now I’m gonna go dance and cry.
